NESTRO Group has been operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2007, when Russian state-owned company “Zarubezhneft” JSC via its subsidiary “Oil and Gas Innovation Corporation” became majority shareholder in companies Oil refinery Brod, Oil refinery Modrica and retail petrol station network Petrol.

In 2008, “Zarubezhneft” founded a new company, “OPTIMA Group” Ltd, registered in Banja Luka.

The task of OPTIMA Group is planning and management of oil industry development through companies Oil Refinery Brod, Oil Refinery Modrica, as well as development and expansion of retail network of petrol stations NESTRO PETROL.

All companies operate under NESTRO brand, which is a trademark of parent company “Zarubezhneft”.
